This 2020 litter was from Ember’s aunt Missy.

Puppies due September2024!!!

Our beautiful red merle female, Ember, is getting ready to whelp her second litter. We are excited about this all color litter that combines the fine qualities of both the herding lines and conformation lines. This cross should produce the brains and drive for wonderful performance dogs for agility, herding, rally, and obedience and the enthusiasm and stamina for outdoors adventures like hiking, biking and running.Pups should have gorgeous heads, a moderate length coat, good structure and be of small to moderate size. Lots of Hall of Fame dogs and kennels in pedigree plus WTCH,OTCH,RTCH and CH titled dogs and agility titled dogs. Pedigree on request.

7 year old Ember - she is OFA GOOD, Elbows normal, DNA Aussie panel clear except 1 copy of CEA. Eyes cleared 2021. Ember’s sire was from the Melody conformation kennel. On her mom’s side, she has Vaquero bloodlines plus my agility line. Ember’s mom, Brandy is 11 and competing in herding after finishing her Rally Master’s title. Both the Vaquero line and my line, Crystal Canyon, are living to between 13 and 15 1/2 years old and remaining active their whole lives.

Red tri female with blue eyes - Crystal Canyon’s I love Lucy - from our 2020 litter

Here's what you can expect of us and what we expect you to provide -

We welcome visitors at all times

From Crystal Canyon you receive a pup from a well thought out mating between two compatible dogs chosen for their excellent health, temperament, versatility and longevity.

We support you and your Crystal Canyon dog from puppyhood on. We gladly help with training issues and provide suggestions for better health options.  We are committed to every pup we produce from birth through old age. We love receiving pictures and notes.

In return, we require proof of a securely fenced yard for your dog's safety and exercise when he/she is unable to be with you.

You must also agree to provide some form of age appropriate exercise - biking, running, hiking, agility, long walks, horseback rides, etc. several times per week. This not only keeps a dog in top physical condition for better overall health throughout life, but also relieves stress and makes training so much more enjoyable for you both. Australian Shepherds need plenty of exercise to burn off their abundant energy. Remember, these are dogs bred to herd livestock which is strenuous work. If you can not provide adequate exercise, you should consider another breed.

Supplying a quality diet is essential.  It is the first line of defense in the battle against disease and the ravages of time. The first choice is a raw diet, followed by one of the high quality grain free foods now available. Avoid corn based food and those with preservatives. Corn is one of the top allergy foods for dogs plus it is a GMO crop and treated with Round Up.

Reduce or eliminate vaccinations except those required by law. Check out Dr. Jean Dodds for more information regarding vaccine issues. I am not anti vaccine but understand every vaccine poses the possibility of a serious reaction due to the heavy metals used to preserve them. Using titer testing to determine your individual dog’s level of protection is a far safer way.

Do not allow your dog to become overweight. That is a sure recipe for spinal and joint problems.

Reduce or eliminate all pesticides and poisons used on your dog and in the environment, including flea and tick meds, weed killer on lawns, etc etc . . . Toxic overload contributes to disease in animals AND people!!!

Provide adequate training and socialization so your dog becomes a valued member of society, not a nuisance or liability. Aussies are very intelligent dogs and enjoy challenges requiring them to think through problems. Seek out a good trainer to help maximize the bond between you and your companion.

And yes, for our own dogs, we provide all of the above in ample measure!!!

LASTLY, YOU MUST AGREE TO REMAIN IN CONTACT WITH US PERIODICALLY AND NOTIFY US IMMEDIATELY OF ANY HEALTH OR TRAINING ISSUE THAT ARRISES. Most problems can be solved if caught in the beginning stages.

As always, we reward those who purchase competition prospects with a monetary incentive program Ask for details.
